With that… National League continues… 2 games coming up for next week, on Mon and Wed. No more losing for Team Sonique. It’s disgraceful enough to have lost THAT match. So let’s just put in our very best and fight hard. Anyway, here are some of the photo we took from previous wk after our victory against RP.

Life has been hovering around with work and netball these days. National league has started and I’m glad that we won our first game with llabten. A good start for the league. The second game was postponed due to the lack of umpires. That was the first time this has happened and we were informed only late at night. It was the organizer’s fault and the reason given was simply that they couldn’t reach us. Chun di was fuming when she learnt about this. According to her, she didn’t receive any msg or e mail from them and according to the organizer; they had tried calling her many times and sent a couple of email. Of course, I would believe Chun di’s words than those irresponsible organizers. Just wondering why Netball Singapore would let these people take charge of national league. Hmmm..

Anyway, working in Recruit Express has been stressful. 2 weeks have passed and I only managed to send 3 people out to work. This is definitely not good. I ought to do better than this. I hate it when I can’t the expectation of others. It just makes me feel lousy. The inculcation of positive thinking by my mentor has failed apparently. Her mentality and mine differ somehow. Her mentality: one must set high goals so that we can stretch ourselves. My mentality: we shouldn’t expect too much as the higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment if we fail. But overall, she is a good mentor lah. She is always full of energy and her memory capacity is just huge! She can remember virtually everything, including my candidates, the date for their interview and the timings as well. Sometimes, it just amazes me. Though work has been stressful, it is still comforting to have nice and fun-going colleagues and a good mentor. This job does offer me a great exposure and certainly allow me to experience the working life when I graduate 2 years later. 2 more months of suffering or 2 more months of challenge. It just depends on how one looks at it.

Our result was released last Friday and I must admit; I did pretty well for that. Bioinfo was real shocking. Shawn can sense how nervous I was when I was about to key in my user ID and password to view my result. I could still remember how worried and ‘fan jian’ I was when I reached home and reviewed how I did for that paper. All the negative thoughts were flooding in my mind then. But in the end, I did well for the paper. I just wonder why. Maybe it’s their mistake for swapping god knows whose paper with mine. If that’s really the case, then it’s just the person’s luck to have gotten my paper and my grade. Din do well for geo but that was within expectation and so, it didn’t affect my mood at all. Overall, it is a good turn-out for me and I hope it is for all my friends. Let’s all continue to work hard for the coming semester. I’m sure everyone can do it de. –cheers!!-
